About WAIC Yunfan Award

Yunfan Award is amongst the most prestigious awards being presented at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC). Initiated by the WAIC Committee in 2020, it is specially set up for recognizing young developers working in AI-related fields around the world. Selected once a year, it is operated by Synced together with the GAIAA, Shanghai AI Laboratory and AI Young Scientists Alliance, and awarded to those who in the preceding year, have conferred great benefits to the deployment and advancement of AI.

Rising Star

Each year, 15 winners will be selected based on their R&D cases or project participation experience, awards, high-quality papers etc. At the same time, the winners of Yunfan Award will automatically become members of the "A Class Program" which aims to explore and cultivate AI academic research and entrepreneurial talents, gather AI talents from top universities all around the world, and build an accelerator for future academic and industrial leaders.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must be Chinese AI experts under the age of 30 and the criteria for selection includes:

Development project involvement
Internship experience
Honours, such as scholarships, talent programmes, etc.
Competition achievements
Publications, etc.
